Robinson raises close to 15,000 in April contributions, adds key community leaders to broad list of supporters
BELLEVUE – In just over two months on the campaign trail, Lynne Robinson for Bellevue City Council announces $35,000 raised in contributions and pledges with close to $15,000 raised in April alone. In a demonstration of her broad local support, the Bellevue Parks commissioner, Bellevue Network on Aging Board Member, and small business owner has raised over 90% of her contributions directly from Bellevue and Eastside donors with an average contribution of $243.
In addition to a successful month in fundraising, Robinson has secured more key endorsements including former Bellevue Mayor Cary Bozeman, and former Councilmembers Iris Tocher and Margot Blacker. These latest endorsers join over 75 community leaders including State Representative Ross Hunter and Former Mayors Connie Marshall and Nan Campbell. Click here for a complete list of endorsers.
Robinson, who presented to U.S. Representative Smith in her role as a Bellevue Network on Aging Board Member on Improving Access to Medicare Coverage Act of 2013 earlier this month said, “I am honored to have received such an outpouring of support from the elected officials, community leaders, and residents I have worked with for years from across the community. As Councilmember, I will work every day to position Bellevue for the future, while staying sensitive to the needs of our community.”
Robinson is running for Position 6, currently held by incumbent Don Davidson. She and her husband, a housing and human services professional, live in the Woodridge neighborhood. Their children attended Bellevue Public Schools, and one is currently a graduating senior.
